With a team of well connected music industry professionals, Pulcinella can offer advice and ideas to organisations for performances at a range of venues. With access to a comprehensive library of orchestral repertoire from the symphonic, film and game genres, we can design programmes around the themes of the event. We also work with leading projection mapping technology to combine visual elements to the performance including live displays with 360 degree cameras.
Following on from the success of our first chamber orchestra concert in 2009, Pulcinella was asked to produce the WorldCon Philharmonic Orchestra for thousands of fans at the World Science Fiction Convention 2014 in London's ExCel centre to standing ovation. This was the first full scale concert in the ICC Arena. Working to the highest artistic goals with some of the UK's finest musicians and soloists (London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, and Britten Sinfonia) the performance was described "as you would expect from such a body, absolutely excellent. Very definitely one of my personal highlights of the WorldCon" - concaternation.org
“The huge success of the Worldcon Philharmonic concert was due to the great planning, preparation and delivery by Pulcinella. As the lead on the client convention side, I always felt that the project was under control and that our wishes and ideas were fully respected and explored.” Vincent Docherty, Committee Worldcon 2014 & Chair Worldcons 1995 & 2005
With future performances in 2017, 2018 and 2019, Pulcinella is currently working with Thomas Bloch, the world's leading Ondes Martenot player, who will be giving a special performance at the British Science Fiction Convention, including a premier of an arrangement of music from the new film Blade Runner 2049, for which he has recently recorded.

Featuring some of the UK’s finest musicians and soloists, including soprano Sarah Fox, and members of the London Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, BBC Symphony Orchestras, and Britten Sinfonia the 86 piece Worldcon Philharmonic Orchestra performed to thousands of people at the 2014 World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon) in London’s ExCel Arena. After the team’s earlier successful performance at the 2009 British SciFi convention, the Worldcon commissioned Pulcinella to deliver an ambitious orchestral performance of works related to science fiction and fantasy including Star Wars Suite, Holst’s Planets, Star Trek, Dvorak’s ‘Song to the Moon’, themes from Halo and Kingdom Hearts games, and Stravinky’s Firebird Suite. The concert also included a special commission in memoriam for Iain M. Banks by composer Gary Lloyd.
